Starting on the 5th of October 2015 will be a new EMT class the cost will be $750.00 the class will be two nights a week Monday and Wednesday from 1800 to 2100. application are on this website under Training academy. please email them to me at trainingofficer@bc-fr.org or coordinator.snell@gmail.com we can only except 30 students in the class the cutoff date for applications will be 25th of September 2015. any questions at any time please contact me Rick Snell at the email provided or by phone 512-718-4545

BP&L Community Support Grant

We were fortunate to be selected for the Community Support  Grant 
from the City of Bastrop for the purchase of 5 AEDs and 5 Portable Radios.




Bastrop County First Responders Training Academy

On January 6th, Bastrop County First Responders  graduated 16 from our EMT Basic Class.  Upon graduation from the academy they will register with the National Registry of EMTs and schedule their NREMT Test, once they have passed the NREMT test they will apply to the Texas Department of State Health Services to be State Certified as an EMT at which time they will be eligible for employment. Several Students have expressed interest in becoming Bastrop County First Responders.    

Partners in Education

On Thursday 11 December 2014 the Academy and Bastrop High School Signed agreements and became partners in Education The Bastrop County First Responders Training Academy will be moving to a facility off Hill Street Next to the Colorado River Academy  with the goal of providing a pathway to Certification in the EMS and Fire Fighting  Communities to all High School Seniors upon Graduation.
